Treatments
Orthopaedic
care, in full.
Eight areas of practice. Each page explains the problem, the tests, the non-surgical options and the surgery, in that order.
Catalogue of care
01
Knee
Knee Care
Precise diagnosis and treatment designed to restore confident movement, from early arthritis to sports injury.
02
Joint
Joint Replacement
Knee and hip replacement planned around your own anatomy, with rehabilitation that starts on day one.
03
Scope
Arthroscopy
Keyhole surgery that lets us see inside the joint, repair what is torn and protect what is still healthy.
04
Sport
Sports Injury Care
From cricket and kabaddi to gym training and running: accurate diagnosis, honest timelines, and a tested return to play.
05
Trauma
Fracture & Trauma Care
Prompt assessment, stable fixation, and a clear plan for getting the limb working again.
06
Shoulder
Shoulder Care
Rotator cuff, frozen shoulder and instability: diagnosed precisely, treated in the right order.
07
Spine
Spine & Back Pain
Mechanical back pain, sciatica and disc problems assessed properly, then treated with movement first.
08
Rehab
Rehabilitation
The part that decides the result: supervised, measured recovery after injury and surgery.
Where theexpertise lies.
Trauma and joint replacement are the core of the surgical work at Vishwas: the injuries that arrive without warning, and the joints that have worn out over years.
OPD Mon–Sat, 10:30–13:30 & 17:30–19:30
Complex trauma & polytrauma care
Advanced surgical management of high-energy road traffic accidents, compound (open) fractures, pelvi-acetabular injuries and peri-articular fractures.
Primary & revision joint replacement
Total and partial replacement surgery for severe degenerative arthritis, avascular necrosis (AVN) and secondary arthritis of the knee and hip joints.
Geriatric fracture management
Minimally invasive stabilisation tailored to osteoporotic bone injuries in elderly patients, so mobilisation begins early and the complications of prolonged bed rest are avoided.
Deformity correction & reconstructive surgery
Management of long-bone malunions, where bone has healed with deformity, and non-unions, where a fracture has not healed at all, alongside salvage reconstruction procedures.

Treatmentsand services.
Five services carry almost every patient through this hospital — from the night an injury arrives to the morning someone walks out unaided.

01
Emergency care
Emergency trauma & fracture care
Round-the-clock management of simple, comminuted and open fractures, closed reduction and cast immobilisation, and soft tissue injury care — at whatever hour the injury arrives.

02
Fixation
Advanced internal & external fixation
Minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO), interlocking intramedullary nailing, tension band wiring, and external fixator application for limb-threatening injuries.
03
Arthritis clinic
Joint care & arthritis clinic
Medical management of osteoarthritis, intra-articular injections including viscosupplementation, corticosteroid and PRP therapy, and tailored joint preservation protocols.
04
Reconstruction
Post-traumatic reconstruction
Surgery for non-healing fractures, bone grafting, eradication of infection in bone (osteomyelitis), and corrective osteotomies for bone that healed crooked.
05
Rehabilitation
Post-operative rehabilitation
Structured, goal-oriented physiotherapy plans focused on restoring joint range of motion, muscle strength and independent mobility.
Major surgeriesperformed here.
Twelve procedures in four families: planned joint replacement, the stabilisation of severe injury, keyhole fixation, and the rescue of fractures that never healed.

Joint replacement
Four procedures — knee, hip, bipolar hemi and revision.

Complex trauma
Three procedures — pelvis, peri-articular and polytrauma.

Minimally invasive
Two procedures — MIPPO and closed nailing.

Salvage & reconstruction
Three procedures — non-union, implant removal and infection.
01 — Arthroplasty
Joint replacement (arthroplasty)
- Total knee replacement (TKR)
- Total hip replacement (THR)
- Partial / hemi-arthroplasty, including bipolar hip replacement
- Complex and revision knee & hip replacement
02 — Complex trauma
Complex trauma surgery
- Pelvic and acetabular fracture fixation
- Intra-articular and peri-articular fracture reconstruction: distal femur, tibial plateau, pilon and proximal humerus
- Polytrauma stabilisation and damage control orthopaedics (DCO)
03 — Minimally invasive
Minimally invasive trauma
- Minimally invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis (MIPPO)
- Closed interlocking nailing of the femur, tibia and humerus
04 — Salvage
Salvage & reconstructive surgery
- Non-union and malunion corrective surgery, with bone grafting
- Implant removal and revision fixation
- Chronic osteomyelitis debridement and reconstruction
Not sure which applies?
Begin with the part of the body that hurts and work forward from there.

Knee
Knee pain is the single most common reason people come to an orthopaedic clinic, and it is also the most treatable when the cause is named accurately.

Shoulder
A painful shoulder narrows life quietly: dressing, driving, sleeping on one side. The pattern of restriction usually reveals the diagnosis before any scan.

Spine & Back
Back pain is common, usually mechanical, and usually improves. The purpose of assessment is to confirm that, and to identify the minority who need more.
